This course supports kaimahi working alongside whānau Māori affected by family violence.

It recognises that whānau experiences cannot be understood apart from the histories and ongoing impacts of colonisation, and that meaningful change begins with understanding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our collective responsibilities under it.

The course offers space to reflect on how those histories shape today’s realities — and how, through your mahi, you can contribute to restoring mana, strengthening relationships, and supporting whānau wellbeing.

This course is for tangata considering active steps in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in their mahi or organisation. It isn’t a full history or introduction into Te Tiriti, however, represents an introduction to some of the core or fundamental points you should be aware of as you start your journey of implementation.
